Green Class
Age 2 by September 1st
The Green Class is for Northminster’s youngest learners and designed to ease the transition from home. Children are placed according to their birthdays and can attend up to three days per week.
All classes are held on weekday mornings from 9:15-11:45 a.m.
Children do not need to be potty trained to attend.
Colors & Shapes
We explore color and shapes with books, blocks, art projects, easel painting, play dough, and a sensory table. We incorporate music throughout the day with song, instruments available for play, and children attend a weekly music class.
Socialization
We encourage exploration and peer interaction across all activities and maintain an environment where your child learns to feel that “school” is a place of acceptance, excitement and enjoyment.
Pretend Play
Our classroom is equipped with materials for pretend play including dress up, dolls, cars, trucks and animals. We have a small nature table and a beloved school pet that the children enjoy observing.

“Most likely, the Green Class will be the first classroom experience for your child and we can’t wait to help them learn and grow!
The green room provides a welcoming, calm and safe learning environment through play and exploration. Your child will learn how to navigate play with others through sharing, asking for help and taking turns.
One of our favorite activities is to encourage at this age are self help skills… self dressing, eating habits/skills, and communicating with other friends.
